The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development participated in the meeting of the 54th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, chaired by His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit. With generous hosting from the Arab Union for Digital Economy in Abu Dhabi, during the period from January 24-26, 2023 AD.

Thirty-five specialized Arab organizations and about forty federations of specific, specialized, active and active Arab federations participated in the meeting under the umbrella of the joint Arab action system.

The main discussions in the aforementioned meetings centered on the issues of Arab food security, climate change, the Arab digital economy, and cybersecurity. In addition to issues related to the activities of Arab organizations and federations and the role required of them in the next stage. His Excellency Professor Ibrahim Adam Ahmed Al-Dakhiri, Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, presented a summary of the executive program for implementing the Arab agricultural development strategy, the pastoral resources strategy, the sustainable program for Arab food security, and the future plans of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development to deal with the issue of Arab food security. He also appreciated His Excellency for the great role played by the UAE in supporting joint Arab action. He expressed his sincere thanks to the Government of the United Arab Emirates, represented by His Excellency Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Honorary President of the Arab Union for Digital Economy, for hosting these meetings.

On the sidelines of the meeting, His Excellency Professor Al-Dakhiri met with His Excellency Dr. Abdul Majeed bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, where the two parties discussed the most important issues and repercussions affecting the Arab agricultural sectors. Climate changes and they agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between the university and the organization on climate and agricultural issues.
