The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development participated in the activities of the First International Forum of Expertise in the Field of Developing Horizons and Practices of Marketing and Promotion of Dates at the kind invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Sultanate of Oman and the International Dates Council during the period (18-19) of January 2023 AD.

The sessions reviewed scientific working papers that dealt with the most important issues and challenges facing palm trees. such as issues of production, manufacturing, marketing, And shed light on all aspects that contribute to the development of the palm sector, How to use liquid fertilizer left over from fish farming, and post-harvest transactions, In addition to a paper on the reality of date production in the Sultanate of Oman, Production for Marketing The forum concluded with a number of recommendations that constitute a roadmap for the stakeholders’ work to develop the date sector in the region.

It should be noted that the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development presented the strategic framework for the development and development of the value chain for dates in the Arab region, which was prepared by the organization in the year 2018 AD after conducting a comprehensive study of the date chain in the Arab region.
