Agricultural resources and ecosystems are exposed to many threats, perhaps the most important of which are climate changes and the negative effects they have on those resources and systems. Therefore, the organization seeks to work with Arab countries and partners to develop mechanisms for good management of agricultural resources and ecosystems and their sustainability, by promoting the approach of governance and sound management of Arab agricultural resources. Developing and sustaining ecosystems and benefiting from international efforts. This is done through the implementation of the main program for the governance and sustainability of Arab agricultural resources management and exploitation systems, which includes the following sub-programs:

• The sub-program for the adoption and dissemination of agricultural governance interventions and related international agreements
• The sub-program for applying the nexus approach to natural resource management
• The sub-programme for the conservation of plant and animal genetic resources and assets
