On Sunday, March 19, 2023, the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development opened the activities of the Qatari training course in the field of “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories 17025: 2017”, which is implemented by the organization in its regional office in the Arab Central Region of the Republic of Arab Egypt, for the benefit of 30 participants from agricultural researchers, within the framework of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development’s annual program for country training in the Arab countries.

The five-day course program contains several topics on international standards for the accreditation of testing laboratories and international recognition bodies, the importance of ISO 2017: 17025 ISO / IEC, accreditation requirements, management requirements according to ISO 2017: 17025 ISO / IEC, and technical requirements according to ISO 2017. : 17025 ISO / IEC, as well as on accreditation procedures, evaluation methods, and documents required in accordance with ISO 17025: 17025 ISO / IEC.

By the end of the training, the trainees will have obtained a comprehensive overview and understanding of management and technical requirements in accordance with ISO 17025: 2017 ISO / IEC and laboratory efficiency standards to conduct analysis, QC / QA quality control and assurance programs and documentation, in addition to a detailed review of the accreditation process, and how to develop, implement and maintain an effective system To manage quality in laboratories, and work with quality trainers accredited by the Egyptian National Accreditation Council (EGAC).
