The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) participated in the workshop and coordination meeting to start a partnership with the Beef and Sheep Agribench mark of the Thunen Group of Research Centers in the Federal Republic of Germany during the period 25-29 March 2019.

The workshop discussed ways of cooperation and coordination between AOAD and Thunen and the preparation of the outline of a project document on the development of animal production in cattle and sheep in the Arab countries, including the development of administrative systems and technical procedures in tracking the production chain in accordance with international standards and electronic system developed by experts in Germany and in line with the directions of AOAD and Khartoum Declaration of Smart Agriculture launched by AOAD for Agricultural Development during 2018 in Khartoum.

Among the activities of the workshop was the study of the approach between the data produced by AOAD through the Arab Network for Animal Genetic Resources for Animal and Food, with the European and global data regarding animal production and confirming its compatibility with the global system.
