The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) organized a training course in the field of "Integrated Rangeland Management" during the period from 8th to 12th April 2018, in Al-Jilfa, Algeria. The participants were 12 trainees from the Ministries of Agriculture from Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Oman and Sudan.
The aimed at introducing the participants to the efforts of AOAD in the field of pasture, as well as providing the participants with new knowledge and concepts in the field of integrated management of natural pastures and harvesting of water, and factors affecting natural pastures.
The course also included some successful experiences in rangeland management in arid, semi-arid and semi-desert regions, GIS concepts and their uses in the pastoral fields. The trainees had a field tour in some pastures in Al-Jilfa area and practical applications on how to extract information available through the internet web.
