His Excellency Mr Salem Mohammed Al Naqbi, Chairman of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs Department, received at his office in the Emirate of Sharjah H.E Prof. Ibrahim Adam El Dukheri the Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) and his accompanying delegation, on Wednesday, 24 October 2018.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between AOAD and the Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs Department in various agricultural, animal and rangeland areas, especially in terms of providing expertise and developing national capacities in the field of establishing and maintaining pastoral areas. The implementation of these projects shall start after the approval of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in the United Arab Emirates.

The visit came within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah for the development of agriculture, livestock and natural pastures in the Emirate of Sharjah in cooperation with specialized Arab and international organizations. H.E Mr. Al Naqbi stressed the need to cooperate with AOAD as an Arab house of expertise in the field of sustainable agricultural development and achieving Arab food security.
