The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) and in cooperation with the Omani Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries organized a training course in the field of Microbial Resistance to Antibiotics, during 15-19 September 2019. The participants were 31 veterinarians and animal health professionals from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in Oman.

The training course aimed to enhance practical knowledge in surveillance, research and professional development of methods of isolating antibiotic-resistant microbes. The course also discussed the safe use of antibiotics and the application of antibiotic resistance, in addition to methods of isolation and diagnosis.
