The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Mr. Sabri Belkadoum, received on Monday morning, July 29, 2019, at his office at the Ministry's headquarters, the Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) His Excellency Professor Ibrahim Adam El-Dukheri.

H.E Mr. Sabri stressed the need to pay more attention to the promotion of Arab-African cooperation in various fields. He expressed his full support to AOAD and his keenness that Algeria will continue to be present in the AOAD's programs and activities. H.E Prof El Dukheri thanked the minister and gave a brief on the Organization's programs.

 H.E Prof El Dukheri met also H.E Mrs. Fatima Zahra Zerouati, the Algerian Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies. Both sides exchanged views and ideas on the most important environmental challenges facing the world and the need for Arab countries to adopt a common approach to dealing with them. H.E Prof El Dukheri recalled the efforts being exerted by AOAD in this field of Arab coordination in the implementation of the conventions of the Rio de Janeiro, especially the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Convention on Desertification. H.E Mrs. Fatima expressed her admiration for this work. She stressed the need to implement joint activities between the ministry and AOAD.

H.E Prof El Dukheri also visited the headquarters of the National Center for Research in the field of fishing and aquaculture, where he was received by the Director General of the Center and by senior assistants. H.E Prof El Dukheri listened to a brief introduction about the Center and exchanged views with the Director General of the Center and his assistants on the importance of an integrated vision of Arab policy in the field of fisheries, to achieve real integration among the Arab countries in this field, based on the comparative advantages of some countries in certain activities and capabilities.

 Afterwards, H.E Prof El Dukheri went to the General Directorate of Forests, where he was received by the Director General and his assistants. A presentation was presented, on the establishment of the General Directorate of Forests and its various branches, such as Beekeeping, providing olive seedlings and capacity building.
