H.E Prof. Ibrahim Adam El Dukhiri, the Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with H.E Major General Hatim Al-Waseela Al-Samani, the Governor of the Nile River State in Sudan, on the 11th of January 2018. The MOU was around preparing a study for establishing a Complex of Live Animals in the Nile River State, for the purpose of exporting.
This study came within the framework of the Action Plan of the AOAD and in partnership with the Nile River State Government. Generally, it aims to create and improve the investment climate in the Arab agricultural sectors. Also in areas where agricultural investment resources are available. Moreover, create investment opportunities through increasing the Arab agriculture attractiveness.
The Nile River State was chosen because of the availability of fertile agricultural land, livestock and water. Moreover, its government's desire to improve the state's agricultural investment climate and to provide its environment, particularly with respect to the breeding, trade and export of livestock and its products.
