The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) inaugurated a training course on ''Agricultural Expert Systems''. The training course was during the period from the 17th till the 21st of December 2017 at the AOAD's office in Cairo, Egypt. The participants were (15) agricultural researchers from research centers, faculty members and university students in agricultural colleges.
The training course aimed to provide expertise in ''Agricultural Expert Systems'' in the fields of plant or animal production. Moreover, how to use them in transferring, spreading and sharing of knowledge between workers and those interested in the field of agriculture. In addition on how to use ''Agricultural Expert Systems'' to increase agricultural productivity and reduce the total costs of production.
The training course covers the following; provide support and transfer expertise, helps the trainees to identify and determine the most appropriate time for agriculture, harvesting and identification of diseases, and help in planning agricultural processes for crops, as well as diagnosis and treatment of pests and diseases.
