H.E Prof. Ibrahim Adam El Dukhiri, the Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD),participated in the follow-up meeting of the Arab Initiative for Food Safety and Trade Facilitation held in Tunis on the 14th of December 2017. This came in the presence of H.E the Director General of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, the representative of the Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the consultant of the Swedish embassy in Egypt, the Manager of the Arab Food Safety Project, and the Technical Advisor for the project.

H.E Prof. El Dukhiri presented the AOAD areas of work , the activities and programs that the AOAD is working on to achieve. He also pointed out to the activation of the AOAD regional offices to perform its duties in line with the current trends of the AOAD and to the Sustainable agriculture requirements on the regional and general levels in the Arab region.

 H.E Prof. El Dukhiri stressed the AOAD's interest in the agricultural development and food security. Expressing the AOAD's readiness to continue cooperating within the framework of the Arab Food Safety Initiative. This comes through an effective partnership among all parties concerned with the food safety in the Arab region.
