A five days training course in the field of Horticultural Agricultural Operations of Date Palm Trees was launched on Sunday the 29th of October 2017, Oman. The participants were 22 employees from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and the directorates in the provinces. This training course is one of the ten courses that the AOAD executed in Oman.

This course targeted the date palm trees specialists. The course tackled the following: the economic importance and nutritional value of dates, how to create a date palm plantation, methods of date palms multiplication, ground servicing of date palm trees, irrigation methods, water requirements and climatic conditions of date palms trees.
