The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) organized in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), a training course in the field of Entrepreneurship and Investment Promotion for Fish Farming, from the 10th to the 21st of March 2019, at the headquarters of AOAD in Khartoum, Sudan. The participants were 25 fish farms owners, who aimed to establish and develop their projects in the field of fish production and industry.

The course came in continuation to the efforts of AOAD in training fish farmers in Sudan, the Training Course on Entrepreneurship Development and Investment Promotion in Fish Farming. This course is a complement to the fish farming course carried out at the Arab Fisheries Program site during the period 24-28 February 2019. The course covered the technical aspects related to fish culture in floating cages, soil and cement basins.

The course aimed to enhance the capabilities and skills of the participants in relation to aspects of the establishment and management of small and medium-sized enterprises, the beginning of identifying investment opportunities, and develop action plans, and strengthen the skills of entrepreneurship, and the acquisition of micro and marketing of their products for small and micro-enterprise management skills.

The course also dealt with issues related to entrepreneurship, developing management skills and enhancing its role in the establishment of small and micro enterprises, preparation of the technical study of the project, analysis and financial evaluation of projects, market assessment, marketing and promotion of sales and other related topics.
