The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) held a training course in the field of Scheduling and Managing Irrigation water, on the 7-11 October 2018, in Masqat, Oman. The participants were 25 trainees from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

The training course aimed to provide the participants with scientific and practical knowledge to upgrade the irrigation water management sector in Oman. It also reflected to the trainees the importance of determining water needs, scheduling irrigation for agricultural crops, designing and evaluating modern irrigation systems, as well as how to manage field irrigation and improve the efficiency of water use.

 The training program also included a field trip to assess modern irrigation systems.
