The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in cooperation with the Jordanian University of Science and Technology organized a training course in the field of "Fish Farming in Freshwater", on 14-18 October 2018 in Irbid Governorate, Jordan. The participants were 28 trainees working in the field of fish farming in Jordan.
The program included a number of issues, including the basic principles of the aquaculture process, the choice of species selection, the general principles of the classification of aquaculture systems, the type of engineering designs used, the water management strategy, the design and construction of basins, food and nutrition of farmed fish, components of fish diets, how to calculate the composition of fish stocks, work tasks on fish farms, the most important freshwater fish species, and field visits to fish farms in Jordan.
