The Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture H.E Engineer Abdul Al Rahman bin Abdul Mosin Al-Fadhli received in his office on Monday, 21 October 2019, the Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) H.E Prof. Ibrahim Adam El-Dukheri. The meeting discussed the importance of enhancing the existing cooperation between AOAD and the Ministry and the future prospects for its development. Special attention was given to training, capacity development, agricultural extension and developments of the International Dates Council. In addition to the cooperation in the field of developing and the livestock sector in Saudi Arabia and the significance of AOAD to establish solid partnerships with international and regional organizations to serve the issues of food security in the Arab region.

 At the end of the meeting, the two sides discussed the agricultural issues that can be raised in the meetings of the G20, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia in November 2020 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Moreover, they discussed the ongoing preparations for the 50th session of the Executive Council of AOAD.
