The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development Organized Two Training Courses in Egypt


The AOAD organized two training courses in its Regional Office for the Middle Region in Egypt. Participants were fifty technicians from Egypt from the 12th till the 16th of November 2017.

The first training course was in the field of ''Modern Techniques for Agriculture without Soil''. The participants were introduced to soilless agriculture, farming systems in environments, hydroponics techniques, the practical aspects of surface farming systems and commercial farming systems without soil. Participants visited the Central Laboratory for Agricultural Climate.

The second training course was about ''The Role of Useful Insects in the Development of Egyptian Agriculture''.

 The training course included lectures on; the role of honey bees as basic accessories for agricultural crops, the role of silkworms in the development of the Egyptian countryside, the role of tricograms in controlling the Lepidoptera Spp. In addition, the biological control and the methods of quantitative multiplication and release of predators and parasites.

These two training courses come as a part of the courses organized by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.
