The Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) H.E Prof. Ibrahim Adam El Dukheri and his accompanying delegation met with H.E Mr. Fadi Jaber, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Food Industries and Eng. George Jack Khayat, the Director of the Regional Office of the Federation in Jordan.

Both sides discussed means of cooperation in the field of food industries and food safety in the Arab region to support food security and achieve the Arab economic integration, and exchange experiences with international, regional and Arab organizations working in the field of food industries and food safety.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to co-participate in implementing Sudan International Food Safety Conference (SIFSC) under the theme “Towards safe and sustainable food”. AOAD intends to organize the conference during the period 8th -10th April 2019 in Sudan, because Sudan has high resource capacity, which can contribute positively to reducing the food gap in the Arab region and Africa.
