The AOAD participated in the Second Meeting of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Stakeholders held in Lebanon in Beirut from the 6th till the 10th of November 2017.

 AOAD participated by presenting two papers. The first paper was on the reality of Good Agricultural Practices in the Arab region compared to the Global Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). The second paper presented a Model of Good Practices in Aquaculture, according to the Agricultural Practices Manual prepared by the AOAD.

The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Strengthening Food and Water Security and Capacity Development in the Arab Region", which is implemented jointly by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the AOAD, (FAO), (ACSAD) and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
