The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) launched a five days training course at its headquarters in Sudan. The training course was in the field of the ''Traceability, Characterization and Conservation of Animal Genetic Resources''. The participants were 25 trainees from the Sudanese Federal Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries.
The course aimed to build the capacity and develop skills in areas related to animal genetic resources management, from the perspective of sustainability and conservation of indigenous breeds.
It is worth mentioning that this training course comes within the framework of enhancing Sudan's efforts in the field of increasing productivity through the programs of genetic improvement of indigenous breeds and competition from foreign breeds that may lead to their extinction.
