Under the theme “Creating Global Partnerships”, the 13th Dubai International Food Safety Conference kicked off on the 11th of November 2019, highlighting the importance and role of global partnerships between stakeholders to create a better future for food safety globally.
Several organizations participated in this event such as the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), which is concerned with promoting food safety and quality in the Arab countries, in addition to the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the Irish Food Safety Authority, the group of food and beverage manufacturers and producers in the country and other leading international bodies in the field of food safety.
It is worth mentioning that AOAD sponsored the second day of the conference and participated in a symposium on the production safety and the promotion of vegetables and fruits trade in the Arab region. AOAD participated by two papers the first was around AOAD efforts in preparing an Arab unified food standards and the second paper on the Arab initiative to promote vegetables and fruits trade.
The conference included workshops and specialized training workshops, as well as hosting a distinguished group of lecturers, experts and specialists in the field of food safety from all over the world.
