The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) inaugurated the national training course in the field of geographic information system (GIS) from 7-11/7/2019 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Forestry in the state of the Nile River in Sudan. The participants were 25 trainees from the Ministry's cadres.

 AOAD implemented this course due to the importance of development and rehabilitation of national competencies in the Arab countries to become qualified and trained in the use of GIS techniques and applications in all agricultural fields, building a geographic database, and how to deal with it and produce maps.
