HE Prof. Ibrahim Adam Ahmed El-Dukhery, Director-General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), met with Dr. Asmahan Al-Wafi, Director General of the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture(ICBA), at the Center's headquarters on the 16th of October 2017 in the UAE ,Dubai.

 During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between (AOAD) and (ICBA) to cooperate in areas of their interests, particularly to the management and sustainability of environmental and agricultural resources, and enhance development in marginal and saline environments for sustainable solutions to the challenges associated with climate change, adaptation and its negative effects on agricultural production.

 Both sides stressed on the importance of exchanging information, results of studies and researches related to agricultural technical development, as well as cooperation in capacity building and skills development activities in the areas of sustainable agricultural development, food security, water harvesting, combating desertification and implementing some joint projects.

 Concluding the meeting, the two sides affirmed that they will follow up the implementation of all the Memorandum of Understanding provisions to serve the issues of sustainable agricultural development and food security in the region.
