The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) held a joint meeting on Wednesday, 6 February 2019, between its experts and the fish farmers of the floating cages in the Khartoum area.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the technical problems facing the farmers and means of solving them within the framework of AOAD’s efforts to promote the aquaculture sector in the Arab region.

AOAD aims to organize two training courses for the interested fish farmers. The first course will be around training the fish farmers on the technical and administrative aspects of the fish farming process. The second course will be around entrepreneurship in fish farming to improve the production process in accordance with the modern systems adopted globally.

It should be noted that these efforts come within the activities of the Arab Program for Freshwater Aquaculture carried out by AOAD, located in Shajara area in Sudan.
