The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) discussed means of cooperation between the two sides in the fields of joint work. This came during the visit of Dr. Omar Kamara, a Senior Expert in Rural Economic Development in the Integrated Rural Development Sector at IDB to AOAD headquarters in Khartoum, Sudan during the period from 21st-23rdof January 2019.
Dr. Kamara listened to the technical reports presented by the directors of departments and experts of AOAD concerned with the agricultural sector, both vegetable and animal.
For his part, the Acting Director General of AOAD Eng Raed Faez Hattar reviewed the activities carried out by AOAD during the previous years (projects, programs, studies, training courses, technical studies and other future plans).
The two sides focused on the priority aspects of their work to enhance cooperation and partnership to develop a specific vision for cooperation between AOAD and IDB to address the major challenges hindering agricultural development and enhancing food security.
